Lancashire discount travel card holders urged to check renewal date as expiry looms
Discount travel card users in Lancashire are being urged to check whether their pass needs to be renewed by the end of March 2023.
The NoWcard is the concessionary bus pass issued by Lancashire County Council and a number of neighbouring councils which allows free off-peak travel on local bus services throughout England. Users need to renew that pass every five years.Many of them are now coming up for renewal as this year, 2023 marks the scheme's 15th anniversary. Passes have been renewed automatically for older people who have used their pass in the last 12 months.
County Councillor Rupert Swarbrick, Lancashire County Council cabinet member for highways and transport, said: "If you've got a NoWcard please check whether it's coming up for renewal at the end of March.
