Forget about the 49ers trading for Lamar Jackson now that the Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a five-year extension with the franchise-tagged quarterback.
SANTA CLARA — Lamar Jackson is coming to Levi’s Stadium this year, just not as the 49ers’ quarterback.
Jackson, after months of speculation about a potential trade, reportedly agreed to a five-year extension Thursday with the Baltimore Ravens, who’s itinerary this coming season includes their first visit to the 49ers since 2015. Everyone knows Lamar’s skillset. Lamar’s a stud. I’m sure he’ll work it out there. Lamar’s a great player,” Shanahan said at the NFL annual meeting in Phoenix. “We have three quarterbacks who are good with us right now, and we’re set with where our roster is salary-cap wise.”
