And because of that it was inevitable that her relationship with former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges would come into the public eye. That has happened, but for a star of Wilson’s magnitude, all things considered, there’s not a ton out there about the couple.
Hodges has, at times, openly shown support on social media for Wilson. For instance, when she won Female Video of the Year for “Watermelon Moonshine,” back in April, he posted on X, formerly Twitter, “Lainey Wilson is such a badass. Country as duck and cornbread …. The 28-year-old Hodges went undrafted out of Samford in 2019 and signed with the Steelers as a free agent. He was with the team through 2020, making several stars. He signed with the Rams in 2021 and also played with the Canadian Football League’s Ottawa Redblacks in 2021 before calling it career.
