Created in 1995, the iconic bag is named after Lady Diana, who was often spotted carrying it.
SINGAPORE – Few bags can claim to be one of the top five most sought-after styles in the world of luxury.
The first is Lady Dior As Seen By, a standalone travelling showcase started in 2011 which spotlights interpretations of the bag by global artists across various disciplines and mediums. The next section, Dior Lady Art, features artist reinterpretations on the bag itself. Since 2016, the annual project has brought together more than 80 leading figures in the art world to use the Lady Dior as a canvas for creating intricate masterpieces.

Shiny, showy and like a glitter bomb exploded all over it – this sculptural take on the Lady Dior is visual artist Samuel Xun summed up in a bag.
“Dior, to me, has always represented this otherworldly fantasy. My appreciation and love for the house have long superseded my creative career,” adds the artist, who calls the maison’s former creative directors John Galliano and Raf Simons two of the “greatest of all time”.Xun adds: “Dior has a long history of working with artisans, craftspeople and artists. To think that I am now a part of this long and rich tapestry of people is, at times, beyond comprehension.
