NDP MHA Jordan Brown. - - Saltwire NetworkST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Labrador West NDP MHA Jordan Brown is questioning the province's decision to expand the same-day air travel cardiac catheter services program.
Brown expressed concern over the lack of available nursing staff and the lack of reliable air ambulance services in Labrador, leaving residents to pay out of pocket for medical transportation. He also questioned the government's ability to provide a same-day service when the community is struggling to secure basic air ambulance services.
Brown said that he is frustrated that the province has yet to secure a third air ambulance, as was suggested in previous reviews of the air ambulance system.
