A Labour MP has said that every worker in the UK should be able to move to a four-day working week model.
Every worker in the UK should have the chance to work a four-day week, aA new bill, tabled by Peter Dowd, has called for average working hours reduced from 40 to 32 a week.The bill is due for debate in the House of Commons mid-October.‘In the UK, workers put in some of the longest working hours across Europe while pay and productivity remains low in comparison.
‘In numerous examples across the world the four-day week with no loss of pay has been shown to boost productivity and the wellbeing of workers.’
