Pasadena’s Director of Transportation Laura Rubio-Cornejo will resign effective next month to lead the city of L.A.’s DoT.

Pasadena’s Director of Transportation Laura Rubio-Cornejo is set to resign her post to serve as general manager for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, L.A. and Pasadena officials announced Tuesday, Aug. 29.

“She is well positioned to focus the department on executing critical traffic safety improvements and delivering a high-level of customer service to Angelenos,” Bass said in a statement. “She is a leader who fights for equity and will guide the department’s efforts to implement real solutions that support historically disinvested neighborhoods who are disproportionately impacted by traffic violence.
