The old Durban International Airport, once one of the country's busiest airports, has turned into a deserted place.

With a mix of corruption and court battles, it remains a shadow of its former self.Durban International Airport first opened in 1951. It quickly became a hub of South African travel, serving around 250 million passengers a year. The airport replaced the Stamford Hill Aerodrome.
The new and improved King Shaka International Airport, located north of Durban, welcomed around 309 554 international visitors during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The old Durban International Airport fell to the wayside, becoming increasingly desolate over the years.Today, the old airport is in legal limbo, with corruption and court battles further perpetuating its ghost town existence.
Transnet has been leasing out parts of the old airport, including the main runway, which people now use to store vehicles. There’s an array of top African clubs eyeing one of Orlando Pirates least played players. Do you think the youngster should leave?
