KWAZULU NATAL - KwaZulu Natal police have launched a manhunt for suspected cash-in-transit robbers who escaped during an integrated intelligence-led operation at New Glasgow in Verulam.

The police’s Robert Netshiunda said:"The suspects were found in possession of two firearms, a pistol and a rifle. Preliminary investigations have confirmed that the rifle was stolen during a cash-in-transit robbery that happened in Verulam in August 2024. The pistol, whose serial number was erased, was found to be a police officer-issued firearm."
