KZN election campaign: Steenhuisen praises Pappas, punts DA as 'anchor tenant' of Multi-Party Charter
DA leader John Steenhuisen, while calling his party the "anchor tenant" of the eight-member opposition-party coalition government pact, championed KwaZulu-Natal premier candidate Chris Pappas while launching his organisation's 2024 election campaign.
"Viva Chris Pappas, viva! Thatha Chris Pappas, thatha!" Steenhuisen shouted on Saturday during the DA's official launch of the campaign in Durban. The Electoral Commission of South Africa said about two weeks ago that, on 18 and 19 November, voter registration would open ahead of the country's national and provincial elections next year.
