The South African Weather Service issued the alert on Wednesday warning of damaging winds, excessive lightning, hail and heavy downpours over the southern parts of the province.
JOHANNESBURG - In KwaZulu-Natal, disaster management teams are on high alert to respond to any weather-related incidents following a level 4 weather warning for severe thunderstorms in the province on Wednesday.
Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs spokesperson, Senzelwe Mzila, said that residents and motorists were advised to exercise extreme caution.
