Some believe the forward has played deeper this season but the man himself seems to have no issue.

Kyogo Furuhashi insists he is ready for ANY forward line role after Brendan Rodgers altered his position in the Celtic team.

The Japanese star has been dropping deeper in matches under the Irishman, after living within 18 yards of the goal under previous boss Ange Postecoglou. The striker continued his hot streak at the weekend against Rangers by netting in sweet fashion to seal a 1-0 Premiership win at Ibrox. But now on international duty with Japan, Kyogo has been discussing how he intends to fit into the various roles within manager Hajime Moriyasu's forward line. And he intends to be a shoe that fits all sizes, Kyogo insisting he can work that deep role alongside an acknowledgement of keeping his penalty box instincts. He told Nikkan Sports: "There may be times when I participate in the build-up and connect with everyone to attack. There may also be times when I get away with one chance.

The 28-year-old will have the chance to out for the Land of the Rising Sun against Germany later this week. A clash with Turkey comes next week before returning to Glasgow for preparations ahead of a Parkhead meeting against Dundee. Speaking after his goal in the win over Rangers, Rodgers played down any change in Kyogo's role. He said: "I have not tinkered with anything at the top end of the pitch. We just needed to connect the game, there's other areas we have tweaked. But from halfway forward it's just about doing what they are doing and adding bits to that. But his strength is on the last line but you can see he can drop in and add that variety as well.
