Siya Kolisi says the Sharks’ win against Scarlets raised a red flag regarding their territorial game management and exit strategies.
Second-half tries from Aphelele Fassi, Marius Louw and Curwin Bosch, plus a penalty try, earned Kolisi his first win as Sharks skipper in aHowever, the Durbanites spent most of the first stanza trapped in their own half and desperately trying to keep their Welsh opponents tryless.
“Scarlets came hard in the first half, but our defence was solid and we were able to keep them from getting seven points,” Kolisi said. “But all our energy was being used on defending the whole time, and they kept us in our half.make you attack in your own half and make mistakes.“We were looking at them and we could see in the body language… even some of our players were also huffing and puffing. But we had to hold tight.
And while chuffed with his first W as captain, Kolisi knows the Sharks have their work cut out for them this week at training. “The most important issue is our exits; we need to exit properly, and first time, and don’t play rugby in our own half,” he added.
