London got a goal 5:30 into the game, when Alex Leonard, off a faceoff, rifled a wrist shot past 67’s goalie Max Donoso. The 67’s had a lengthy 5-on-3 advantage after London took two penalties late in the final 17 seconds of the first period. But London goalie Zach Bowen, who’s from Kanata, made some big saves and the 67’s rang a couple of shots off the iron. Ottawa came close near the midway point of the second period, but couldn’t put the puck into the net in a frantic scramble around the Knights’ net.

The 67’s hit the road right after Friday’s game, taking a bus to Hamilton ahead of a Saturday afternoon game. They also play in Mississauga on Sunday. The Knights play in Kingston Saturday night.
