Retired Marie Curie nurse Marg made her first attempt at abseiling recently, bravely roping her way down the Forth Rail Bridge as part of her ongoing effort to help the charity which assists people with terminal illness.
A Kinross-shire grandmother has abseiled off the Forth Rail Bridge to help raise hundreds of pounds for a charity close to her heart.She decided to take on her latest challenge at the iconic structure to boost the end of life charity’s funds and help them to continue providing care and support to people living with any terminal illness and their loved ones.
Marg provided care and support for people living with a terminal illness in their homes, mostly throughout Tayside and Fife.“One family were very grateful to be able to have their loved one back home for the last few days of his life so he could be there for his daughter’s first birthday, which meant so much to him and his family.
“I cared for the gentleman at night and having round the clock Marie Curie support from us meant so much to his family. Charlotte Gilbert, community fundraiser at Marie Curie Scotland, said: “Marg was incredible for taking part in the abseil.
