King’s Hawaiian has issued a cautionary recall of pretzel buns and bites after one of its suppliers recalled an ingredient used in them.
Aug. 16, 2022 -- FDANo illnesses have been reported and no pathogens have been found in any King’s Hawaiian products, the FDA says. “The recall is being conducted to ensure consumer safety.”
The pretzel products included an ingredient from supplier Lyons Magnus, which is recalling the ingredient because of the potential it can cause contamination from germsKing’s Hawaiian doesn’t use the Lyons Magnus ingredient in any other products, so no others are being recalled. Production will resume when King’s Hawaiian makes sure the current supply has been destroyed and all its ingredients are safe.
The FDA says anyone who has King’s Hawaiian Pretzel Slider Buns, King’s Hawaiian Pretzel Hamburger Buns or King’s Hawaiian Pretzel Bites should throw them away.
