King Charles made a comment about not getting too close to the Buckingham Palace balcony during the weekend’s Coronation celebration, says a professional lipreader

As royal fans, undeterred by the grey grizzly conditions, took the positions outside the palace - Charles and Camilla stepped out onto the balcony, joined by family members including Prince William and Kate Middleton - alongside the Waleses’ children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.Lipreader Elisabeth Taunton told the Mirror that Charles said: "I'm not going to get too close [to the front] so the fire service have to [...run in] rescue me".
The King shared a message following the momentous weekend, in which he gave his “heartfelt thanks” to all those who helped make the historic event a reality.
