Whilst Kilbryde is physically based in East Kilbride, its impact goes beyond into all areas of South Lanarkshire

The "incredible success story" of Kilbryde Hospice was hailed at the fifth anniversary celebration of the opening of its inpatient unit.

Lois gave an overview of the support Kilbryde gave to her father and the wider family whilst in their care.

"In January, my dad’s meds were causing him to be very agitated and erratic, he needed a blood transfusion and medical management, thankfully he was able to have this at the hospice and after everything that we had experienced in the community and at the hospital, entering the hospice for first time was like being on a different planet. It was so welcoming, calm, and peaceful.

Hospice volunteer of seven years Ann Marie Cairney described Kilbryde as "a wonderful place to volunteer".
