Khune’s Next Gig At Chiefs Alluded To…
Veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune paid tribute to man that's helped him hone his craft at Kaizer Chiefs for many years. Itumeleng Khune 's exact new role at Kaizer Chiefs has not been officially announced by the club yet, but insiders privy to information have discussed what's happening behind the scenes.Last season Amakhosi had announced that they would not be renewing Khune's contract as a player after it would end in June 2024.
"Khune is at the Village like any other employee from Monday to Friday as that is what is required of him. It's true he will be working with the Sponsorship and Marketing department but at the moment there is nothing that is happening in that department," said the Siya source. A second source stated that Khune sometimes trains with the goalkeepers, both in the gym and on the training fields."He is around. He even trains with the goalkeepers at times. It's both to keep himself fit and his health and as well as to help the young goalkeepers in the team," said the second insider.
