This marks the second postponement of Cole's South African tour. The initial schedule had her performing in September of last year, but those shows were also delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. After the first postponement, new dates and venues were announced, with January 2025 set as the substitute date. The original plan included a performance at Sun City, but the venue was later changed to Emperor's Palace. Then, without prior announcement, the second show during the tour was shifted from Emperor's Palace to Carnival City.News of Cole's home being affected by the LA fires spread quickly through social media. Her hairstylist, Jonathan Wright, shared a post on Instagram, expressing his concern and asking people to send prayers for Cole, her family, and her children. Wright revealed that he and Cole were in Miami a week prior to the fire, and returning home to this devastation was 'mind-blowing.' Actress Christel Smith, a South African-born resident of Los Angeles, also shared her experience of losing her home to the devastating wildfires. While thankfully her animals were saved, Smith stated that her house was cordoned off, and she was unable to return to assess the damage. The LA fires have caused widespread destruction, claiming at least 20 lives and burning down over 12,000 homes and structures.
