It is on track to open early next year.

A new £9.2 million health hub featuring facilities including a gym and swimming pool is on track to open in Warsop next year after a key step in the project was taken. The structure of the Warsop Health Hub is now beginning to take shape after the recent delivery of 420 beams and columns from British Steel and Tata Steel.

Other facilities inside the new hub will include a multi-purpose hall, IT area and community space. The swimming pool, which has already been dug and lined, will measure 15 x 8 metres and hold around 126m³ of water. Planning permission for the project was first approved in March, before construction got underway in June. Mansfield District Council now says it is on track to be open early next year.Councillor Andy Burgin, the Portfolio Holder for Environment and Leisure at Mansfield District Council, said: "The steels show the scope and scale of the building, which will be of huge benefit to the Warsop community and beyond.

"We're pleased that the hub continues to be built at pace, and it is just a testament to everybody involved in the project's dedication and commitment to the scheme." The hub was one of six projects funded from the £12.3 million awarded to Mansfield District Council in the 2021 Towns Fund.
