Cooks finished the year with 90 receptions for 1,037 yards and six touchdowns in 2021. No other receiver had more than 450 receiving yards. Going into 2022, the Texans knew they couldn’t rely solely on Cooks if they wanted to be successful offensively.Cooks, who was targeted 12 times Sunday in the Texans’ 20-20 tie with the Colts, made up one-third of quarterback Davis Mills’ pass attempts.

Whether it’s Mills finding them, those players getting open, offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton designing plays for them, or all of the above, something must improve.
