Turns out that Durant ruptured his right Achilles tendon. That's the fibrous band of tissue that connects your calf muscle, otherwise known as the gastrocnemius muscle, to your heel bone, otherwise known as your calcaneus, for each of your legs. The Achilles tendon is what allows you to stand on your toes or point your foot forward. A rupture is a complete tear through this tendon.
