A police officer died after drowning in a swimming pool at a hotel known as in Alego/Usonga sub-county on Sunday evening.

The police constable Austin Ouma who was attached to Ratado police station in Ugenya sub-county is said to have gone for refreshment and entertainment when he met his untimely death.

It has been established that the decease together with his two other colleagues Peter Mucheru and Samwel Kirogo were at the said resort for entertainment when the deceased decided to swim.
