New head coach Jake Diebler lands another big piece.
Ohio State's basketball program landed another big piece on Monday — heavy emphasis on the word big. Kentucky transfer Aaron Bradshaw committed to the Buckeyes. Bradshaw entered the portal shortly after John Calipari announced his departure for Arkansas. He's yet another uber-talented player new Buckeyes head coach Jake Diebler has landed in the last few weeks.that included four top 25 players, plus Reed Sheppard .
During his freshman season, Bradshaw struggled to find consistency. In 26 games, he averaged 4.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 13.8 minutes per contest. He shot 57.6 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from three-point range. Bradshaw only found himself in the starting lineup 10 times in Lexington. That surely wasn't the year he was expecting.
Bradshaw will get a clean slate in Columbus, and have a chance to essentially reset his career. He is yet another piece Diebler has added over the past few weeks. Ohio State previously landed a commitment from South Carolina transfer Meechie Johnson, and his brother, elite 2026 guard, Marcus Johnson.
Diebler was hired full-time after an 8-3 run as Ohio State's interim coach. The long-time Buckeyes assistant is not wasting time transforming his roster.
