Kentucky has landed top big man and Wake Forest transfer Andrew Carr, who announced his commitment to the Wildcats on Monday.
A 6-foot-10 power forward, Carr will bring an inside-outside skill set to Lexington. He averaged 13.5 points and 6.8 rebounds for Wake Forest this past season, shooting better than 37% from 3-point range. His career with the Demon Deacons ended with a 31-point, 11-rebound effort against Georgia in the NIT.
He transferred to Wake Forest after that season and has averaged double figures in scoring in both seasons in Winston-Salem. Carr becomes the sixth player on Kentucky's roster and the third to commit this past weekend. San Diego State guard; ESPN 100 guard Travis Perry, who committed to Kentucky under John Calipari and kept his pledge following the coaching change; and freshman guard Collin Chandler, a former top-50 recruit who committed to Pope at BYU before taking a two-year mission.
