Sunland Derby winner would have been Kentucky Derby longshot

Wild on Ice reportedly sustained a left hind leg injury and was taken to a Lexington. Ky. equine surgical facility before eventually being euthanized, according to the El Paso Times report.

That report noted Wild on Ice was looking to become the first Texas-bred since 1950 to win the Kentucky Derby.
