I’m using the term “favoured few” because I can’t think of a better one. Liberals and Pierrists have different ideas of who lives in that club. For Trudeau Liberals it means the “the rich,” “the wealthy,” “the one per cent.” For Pierrists it’s “the elite.” There’s a crucial difference between the two. Same idea, different membership.
The elite don’t necessarily have money. To Pierrists they’re the hoity-toity urban educated with their condescending attitudes to everyone else.
