Zungu sealed a highly-anticipated return to Sundowns after an extended six-year period in Europe in countries such as Portugal, France, and Scotland.
The 30-year-old's return was celebrated as the Bafana Bafana international was handed the famous number eight jersey previously worn by Hlompho Kekana, Lerato Chabangu, Hilton Jordaan, Alex Bapela, and briefly by Teko Modise in previous years. According to Kekana, who Zungu inherited the jersey from it is a chance to make his own memories wearing it.
"For me, the jersey belongs to Sundowns because I found the jersey from Teko [Modise] and someone was wearing it before Teko," says Kekana who was speaking at the Carling Black Label Cup media update.
