The John Wick franchise is known for its slick action set pieces, which see Reeves' titular assassin taking down waves of enemies. John Wick: Chapter 4 is no exception, even upping the ante with the franchise's most significant action scenes to date. Accomplishing this took a team of skilled stunt performers whom Reeves wanted to honor for their hard work and dedication to the film.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT As reported by The New York Times , Reeves gifted each John Wick: Chapter 4 stunt worker with a personalized t-shirt detailing how many times that performer met their demise in the film. With Wick dispatching dozens of enemies, each stunt person was often slain multiple times throughout a single action sequence, with some even racking up more than 20 deaths during the production.
Keanu Reeves Loves Giving Gifts & Lives Up To His Reputation Reeves is often regarded as one of the nicest people in Hollywood, with his penchant for giving gifts often being notorious. The t-shirts were also not the first gift given to the John Wick: Chapter 4 stunt team, with Reeves also giving out wrap gifts in 2021. His five-person stunt team received Rolex Submariner watches, each costing around $10,000, with a personalized message on the back of each one when the film wrapped.
After filming The Matrix Resurrections, Reeves again wanted to thank his stunt team, giving them an all-expense paid trip to the film's premiere, including tickets, hotel rooms, and even private jets to fly them in. And years before that, he bought Harley-Davidson motorcycles for the stunt team he worked with on The Matrix Reloaded. Clearly, while Reeves often receives hefty paychecks for his work, he is quick to pay it forward.
Reeves' reputation has been built up over his career, with fellow collaborators regularly gushing over his generosity and kindness. Beyond extravagant gifts, he has also been witnessed doing small acts of kindness, like giving up his seat on a bus or buying ice cream to emblazon a receipt with his autograph for a fan. He even funds charities, donating his money to cancer research and children's hospitals.
