Katy Perry's Russell Brand comments resurface amid sexual assault allegations against comic

Katy Perry's comments about ex-husband Russell Brand have resurfaced after the comedian was accused over the weekend of rape and sexual assault.

Disgraced actor Danny Masterson was sentenced Thursday after having been convicted of raping two former members of the church in the early 2000s.Also resurfacing on X was Perry’s claim that Brand first expressed his plans for divorce. Perry is currently engaged to “Lord of the Rings” star Orlando Bloom. They have a 3-year-old daughter.

A representative for Perry did not immediately respond to the Los Angeles Times’ request for comment Monday. The singer has not yet publicly addressed the allegations against her ex-husband.“The relationships I had were absolutely, always consensual. I was always transparent about that then. Almost too transparent, and I’m being transparent now,” he said.
