Businesswoman turned broadcaster and right wing commentator Katie Hopkins is bringing a comedy show to Blackburn Empire Theatre.
After gaining popularity through the BBC series, Hopkins enjoyed a run of jobs on TV, radio and newspapers but ran into legal and financial trouble as her output became increasingly extreme.In 2016, MailOnline was forced to pay damages to the a Muslim family she accused of having extremist links and in the following year she was ordered to pay damages and costs of more than £300,000 over defamatory tweets about food writer and activist Jack Monroe.
