Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the Princess of Wales - who is Colonel of the Irish Guards - will not attend the Colonel's Review the week before Trooping the Colour
Kensington Palace has confirmed that the Princess of Wales will not be taking the salute at the Colonel’s Review on Saturday, 8 June, the traditional rehearsal for Trooping the Colour.
Princess Kate will be represented by General James Bucknall K.C.B., C.V.O as he will carry out the role of Inspecting Officer on her behalf. While Kate's involvement in Trooping the Colour is unknown, it is still expected that other members of the Royal Family will carry out their traditional roles.
