King Charles is celebrating his birthday today and the Prince and Princess of Wales have marked the occasion by sharing a new photo of the King to mark the special day
The Prince and Prince ss of Wales have celebrated King Charles' birthday with a delightful snapshot of the monarch. William and Kate posted the photo on their social media accounts this morning, sending birthday wishes to His Majesty with an image captured in Samoa last month that some fans summed up as Charles' "Daddy Cool" look.
The news of Charles' cancer diagnosis earlier this year was closely followed by the revelation that Kate had also been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing significant abdominal surgery, reports the Mirror. As King Charles gears up to celebrate a significant day, he will be opening two hubs aimed at saving and redistributing tonnes of surplus food. This event also coincides with the first anniversary of the Coronation Food Project, which helps charities distribute unwanted food across the nation.
King Charles, born Philip Arthur George on 14 November 1948 at Buckingham Palace, is the eldest son of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Marking the first birth in the Royal residence since 1886, his father Duke of Edinburgh registered his birth at Caxton Hall.
