Fans of Kate Garraway have urged ITV to allow to presenter to continue with her "detailed" coverage of Queen Elizabeth's death as the monarch's funeral approaches. It comes after the Good Morning Britain host was picked to lead coverage of the channel's news programme last weekend in an unusual step following the Sovereign's passing.

According to North Wales Live, While Ben and Susanna hosted Saturday's show, Kate Garraway was at Buckingham Palace with mourners headed to the Queen's central London home to pay their respects and leave tributes.She was then back in the studio on Sunday. Kate was joined by various guests during the episode before the Queen's coffin began its journey to London from Balmoral, starting with a stop in Edinburgh.

Kate then commented: "I was wondering that, there’s potential triggering isn’t there? The rawness of that grief for whom William said in his statement, the Queen was absolutely there with him through those darkest days. And so to be there thinking about her passing… I mean very very poignant moments."
