When former National Director of Public Prosecutions Bulelani Ngcuka was required to explain why he had not put then-deputy president Jacob Zuma on trial for corruption alongside his former financial advisor, Schabir Shaik - despite there being"prima facie" evidence against him - he gave a telling answer.
