The former adviser to former Republican President George W. Bush emerged as an unlikely critic of Donald Trump after the GOP rallied around him.

Trump has denied wrongdoing, claiming he had the authority to declassify documents. But Rove, who served as top aide to former President, said presidents aren't allowed to pick and choose which documents to take with them after leaving office. Fox News anchor Sandra Smith: "Going back to the New York Post headline...you could have just asked."
Karl Rove: "My sense is they were asking for a year and a half, and why he was holding on to these materials when he had no legal authority to do so under the PRA is beyond me!"
