In a new look at the future of the Marvel Universe, Kang the Conqueror's last battle in the pages of Marvel Comics will be told. The upcoming one-shot Timeless #1 will not only feature a dramatic adventure for the supervillain across time but will set up what's coming next in the Marvel Universe, as many teases, first appearances, and more will be revealed in the wide-ranging new story.
Marvel Comics released the first Timeless one-shot in 2021, as the comic set the stage for what was to come in the Marvel Universe. The comic featured Kang the Conqueror looking across time and teasing storylines that would occur, including Lin Lie becoming the Iron Fist, Iron Man becoming a literal god, Jack of Hearts returning from the dead, and Punisher working alongside The Hand.
In a Marvel press release, Jed MacKay shared that the comic will be "bigger and better than ever" while teasing Kang's last battle potentially being his "last one." The solicitation for the issue shares additional details about Timeless #1 by Marvel Comics and the journey the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror is about to face.
The last battle of Kang the Conqueror! Tyrant of the timeline, master of endless legions, warrior and conqueror without compare, Kang is in search of the one thing he cannot have. But he is not the only one after the Missing Moment, and Kang soon finds himself in a new position — on the run across the events of the Marvel Universe’s future!
The new Timeless one-shot will set up what's coming next in the Marvel Universe, as Kang the Conqueror's last battle will unfold. The one-shot will be a must-read for fans of Marvel Comics who want a glimpse into the future of Marvel Comics and Kang the Conqueror's potential role in upcoming stories - which could get much larger considering Kang's forthcoming role in the MCU. Timeless #1 arrives in comic book stores and online retailers on December 28, 2022.
