In a speech on climate change last week, the vice president seemed to endorse population reduction; that was taken as a gaffe by many but the Jersey guy who wrote the book 'The Population Bomb' preferred the speech as given.

Ehrlich is among many scientists who argue that population growth in countries such as India and China will negate any efforts Americans make to combat climate change.
