Peacock has officially announced the Based on a True Story Season 2 renewal for its darkly comedic thriller series.
, which stars Emmy nominee Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina. This comes after over four months since the 8-episode first season made its debut. Further details about its next installment are still being kept under wraps.
Based on a True Story is written, executive produced, and created by Craig Rosenberg . The first season was loosely inspired by a true story. Joining Cuoco’s Ava and Messina’s Nathan are Tom Bateman, Priscilla Quintana, Liana Liberato, Natalia Dyer, Alex Alomar Akpobome, Aisha Alfa, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, June Diane Raphael, Lizze Broadway, Li Jun Li, and more.
Executive producers are Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, and Roxie Rodriguez for Aggregate Films, along with Melissa Blake and Alex Buono, who is also directing two episodes.
