However, Kaizer Jnr’s words seemingly contradict Bobby Motaung’s statement as the latter vividly said that Zwane and his assistant Dillion Sheppard will be expected to hit the ground running and end the club’s seven-year trophy drought in their first season in charge.
“I think what needs to happen now is for everyone associated with the club to be realistic and needs to be honest; sometimes it’s a bit uncomfortable,” Kaizer Jnr told the media at the FNB stadium. “Sometimes it involves change, and people don’t like that, but I think for us as a club, we need not live in the past, and we need to be realistic about our situation and what the team needs now, not just as a team.
“It’s [also] about the organisation. Now we hear of one component on the technical side, but there are many other particles. There’s the technical side, recruitment, there’s a high-performance side, business side and the financial side. All those components have to function the right way,” added Motaung Jnr.
