A leading sports photographer, Pitsi 'Vino' Matlou, once alerted Kaizer Chiefs scouts to watch Relebohile Mofokeng when he was 13. Matlou discovered Mofokeng in the Vaal Triangle and called the scouts to Sharpville, but they missed the opportunity. Mofokeng later shone in the DStv Diski Challenge and received his first team debut in May 2023.
A popular photographer once encouraged Kaizer Chiefs scouts to come and watch Relebohile Mofokeng when he was 13 years old.Speaking on Mawara Sports Worldwide last week, the leading sports photographer Pitsi ‘Vino’ Matlou recalled discovering Mofokeng in Gauteng’s Vaal Triangle. According to Matlou, he called Kaizer Chiefs scouts to come over to Sharpville to watch Mofokeng but missed the opportunity.spotted him ahead of his 17th birthday.
“Fast forward it’s 2022, he’s at School of Excellence but I’m hosting a tournament and one of the teams invited him. Fast forward I’m seeing talent I’ve never seen before. Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi was left frustrated after his team squandered a 2-0 lead against Royal AM on Saturday evening.
