Kaizer Chiefs, after a three-week break, are set to face Richards Bay and Royal AM in back-to-back home matches at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
It’s been three weeks since Kaizer Chiefs ’ last match, and Nasreddine Nabi hates these breaks in South African football. Kaizer Chiefs will be back in action next Wednesday, 27 November 2024, when they welcome Richards Bay to the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. The game will be followed by another home fixture at the same venue when Amakhosi host another KwaZulu-Natal based side, Royal AM, three days later.
Amakhosi will need to pick up maximum points from the two home games as they want to ensure that they collect as many points as possible and improve their position on the log standings. The Glamour Boys have collected seven points in five league games, while the Natal Rich Boys have picked up five points after seven matches. Chiefs are 8. Coach Nasreddine Nabi is expected to be back in the dugout after missing last weekend’s Home of Legends friendly tournament in Gqeberha due to an operation. Chiefs won the tournament after beating Lamontville Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday. Going to Polokwane, Chiefs will be without defender Inacio Miguel, who picked up a red card in the last official game against Mamelodi Sundown, which was their Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinal at FNB Stadium at the beginning of the month. With Fiacre Ntwari and Rushwin Dortley returning from international duty, the medical team will assess them as soon as they rejoin their teammates. This is mainly because Ntwari was substituted in the Rwanda vs Nigeria match after picking up an injury. Tickets for the two back-to-back home matches in Polokwane are available at Computicket, including Shoprite and Checkers at R60 per ticket. Wednesday’s game against Richards Bay will kick off at 19:30 at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane
