Stellies CEO Rob Benadie has responded to Chiefs’ ongoing efforts to acquire utility player Fawaaz Basadien, whose departure the club is determined to prevent. Amakhosi have had their bids for the 27-year-old left-footer rejected as they seek to bolster their left-back position.
“There’s a number of players not just at our club but at other clubs also because the transfer window is open for so long, which is really unsettling,” Benadie said. “At least we are playing games; other clubs aren’t playing games. They have to wait without playing games and transfer speculation on their players and so on.”
