Although Mzoughi has never worked with Nabi, he said he was excited to be alongside him at Kaizer Chiefs next season “Nasreddine Nabi contacted me many times when he was working in Tanzania or even with the Royal Army,” Mzoughi told Tunisian media. “But it was not possible for me to respond to his request because I was with the Mauritanian national team in the African Nations Cup and the World Cup qualifiers.“And this time I accepted because I am happy to work alongside Nasreddine Nabi at a big team in Africa, and I wanted to pass on my experience and expertise to many teams in many countries and continents,” he said.
Brandon Petersen, Bruce Bvuma and Bontle Molefe are part of Chiefs’ goalkeeping department. Long-serving keeper Itumeleng Khune is still at the club but his future as a player remains uncertain. With Nabi arriving this week, Kaizer Chiefs will start their preseason training with a trip to Europe.Amakhosi have reinforced their technical team for next season but time will tell if they would be challenge for top honours.
