Former Bafana Bafana and Amakhosi defender Tsepo Masilela says PSL teams no longer fear playing against Kaizer Chiefs.
The Glamour Boys have not tasted success in nearly a decade and the last time they won a trophy was back in 2015podcast, the former left-back said teams no longer fear Kaizer Chiefs in the PSL. From 1996 until 2012, Amakhosi won at least a trophy every season. Having been a dominant force in South African football for over four decades, Chiefs have regressed in the past nine years.
“Before playing a game against Chiefs, you already knew that those guys were coming at us. You knew they had the players and quality. They have kind of lost that a bit,” Maselela added.The former left-back stated that Keagan Dolly felt the pressure at the club. After three years, the winger was released by the club. Dolly’s time at Kaizer Chiefs was disrupted by injuries, and he never really found his rhythm.
