Numerous questionable decisions blight Amakhosi’s penalty shootout win over Orlando Pirates in the Telkom Knockout quarterfinalsKaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has added his voice to the growing calls for match officials in SA to be professional.
“I have been leading in these discussions for a long time, with other coaches following, that professionalisation must come in where everybody is prepared and has a clear target like we do as coaches and players.” Though he pointed out the problems‚ Middendorp said it does not serve any purpose to keep criticising match officials after every game as they are trying their best under difficult circumstances.
