Kaizer Chiefs are set to significantly increase their transfer budget to R100 million in an effort to attract quality players and improve their squad ahead of the 2025 season.

Kaizer Chiefs have been known to be on the stingy side of some transfer proposals but that could be set to change with a R100 million war chest! Chiefs are desperate to add more quality and experience to their team as they look to improve in 2025. Since arriving at Chiefs, new coach Nasreddine Nabi has relatively been backed by the club management. In his first window at Naturena, he was given seven new players to work with.

Those being Nabi had not been shy to admit in public that Chiefs are really devoid of quality and experience. He has been vocal about signing players who he feels are worthy of wearing the Amakhosi badge. Some of the players that have been mentioned as targets are now seemingly pursued. In just the last three days, the club have reportedly made moves for striker“They know that without a proper budget they won’t get the right players that they want for the team to do well and change the fortunes. That’s why they are believed to be considering raising the current budget to R100m. Initially at the start of the season they had a R60m budget and it didn’t bring them the players they wanted. They believe the R100m will make a big difference in negotiating and buying the players they want,” said one source to the same publication. It now remains to be seen how Chiefs use this new budget. Chiefs fans, if you were to go shopping for the club with R100m who would you buy? Feel free to leave your wishlist in the comments below
