Amakhosi are currently eighth on the log, 14 points off the pace, and defender Given Msimango knows they cannot afford to drop more points.
Kaizer Chiefs defender Given Msimango says, “The gap is there for everyone to see especially since our archrivals are sitting at the top so we need to do well in the next two games but the most important one is against Richards Bay and for us to bring a game and go and get the results.” Amakhosi have been busy during the FIFA international break. They have been playing friendly matches and even won the Home of Legends exhibition four-team tournament in the Eastern Cape, beating their bitter rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in the final.“That tournament was a good reflection of the players for the performances, it was not the official game it was a friendly tournament but it has brought confidence to some players and we welcome that.”He’s serving a suspension.
“It doesn’t really affect anything because everyone is involved when we are doing defensive drills and everyone is on the same page everyone knows what their job is and what is required.”
