Fort Bend County juvenile detention volunteer guilty of sexually assaulting inmate more than 300 times
Deborah Sutter, age 68, was found guilty of sexually assaulting a child in the Fort Bend County Juvenile Detention Center.A woman accused of sexually assaulting a child in a juvenile detention center has been found guilty and sentenced to four years in the state penitentiary. Deborah Sutter, 68, from Needville, was a mentor at the Fort Bend County Juvenile Detention Center when she repeatedly sexually assaulted the child during one-on-one counseling sessions.
In a civil lawsuit against several Fort Bend County officials, the victim’s father, under the pseudonym John Doe, alleged that his son, using the pseudonym Frank Thomas, was “sexually abused three or four times per day, twice weekly by Sutter, amounting to more than 300 sexual assaults.” The assaults occurred during counseling sessions in a private room in the facility. Sutter threatened the child that if he reported the abuse, she would accuse him of sexually assaulting her, the lawsuit says.
